Their ideas and motivations are similarly varied, and no less extraordinary. All artworks in the exhibition are for sale with portions of the proceeds benefiting the artist and MOCAF.

Learn More About MOCAF

The Museum of Contemporary Art Flagstaff is an organization committed to creating space, opportunities, and community involvement with all creative mediums in Northern Arizona.

Private: Social Distance

Connecting with one another and working together

During the spring of summer 2020, as the gravity of the global corona virus pandemic derailed many if not all of the local artistic and creative events in northern AZ, MOCAF launched this innovative and non tradition direction for experiencing art.

Art from a distance

Mocaf has been teaming up with many of the local Flagstaff and northern Arizona artist and art organizations build a unique and emersive art experience.

A limited engagement small group bicycle tour to different private property venues. The goal of this project is to offer a unique limited participant experience to art and bicycle enthusiasts who are craving attending an event without being confined to one space with many people. The terms Social Distance or Physical Distancing have been placed into the forefront of our thoughts and actions for the past few months and this event hopes to convey how we can work within these parameters to still experience artistic interaction as well as community engagement.

With bicycles as transport and executing programming outdoors we can keep participants from congregating in one spot for the safety of attendees and artists/performers. By riding bicycles we hope to reinforce the idea of alternative transportation as a positive and can also have riders pull up and experience the installations instead of having to park and get out to engage with them.
